Perception, Sensation is an exhibition project that brings together two pairs of artists – Klaus Staudt with Domenico D’Oora, and Regine Schumann with Salvo.
A two-track journey converging on the shared theme of light as the driving force of artistic experience. On one side, light reveals hidden forms and builds concrete spaces in the monochromatic works of Staudt and D’Oora; on the other, light becomes colour and defines mental and temporal spaces in the works of Schumann and Salvo. The project aims to foster awareness of how we see and how we feel a work of art. The visual and tactile stimuli – real or imagined – that emerge from the works encourage a slow, detail-oriented viewing: a shifting shadow, a surface relief, a coloured reflection on a wall, an emotional nuance evoked by colour. The title Perception, Sensation highlights this dual level: perception as a visual-physical phenomenon and sensation as an inner, emotional response.
